Choir Member Quits Rather Than Sing for Trump!

As has been widely reported, popular vote loser Donald Trump has found it nearly impossible to line up entertainment for his inauguration ceremonies. At this point, he’s only managed to get child singer Jackie Evancho, the Rockettes (under duress), and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. And now, a choir member has announced that she won’t be singing for the orange man-baby!

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Jan Chamberlin, a member of the choir for five years, has resigned rather than perform for the corrupt President-elect. In a letter to the choir’s president and members, she wrote, “Since ‘the announcement,’ I have spent several sleepless nights and days in turmoil and agony. I have reflected carefully on both sides of the issue, prayed a lot, talked with family and friends, and searched my soul. I’ve tried to tell myself that by not going to the inauguration, that I would be able to stay in choir for all the other good reasons. I’ve tried to tell myself that it will be all right and that I can continue in good conscience before God and man.”

She continued, saying that she believed the choir’s participation in Trump’s celebration of himself would “severely damage” its “image and networking,” and that “good people throughout this land and throughout the world already do and will continue to feel betrayed…I know that I too feel betrayed.”

Chamberlin wrote, “I only know I could never ‘throw roses to Hitler.’ And I certainly could never sing for him.”

The choir has previously performed at swearing-in ceremonies for Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, and George H. W. Bush, and inaugural parades for Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and George W. Bush. No choir members resigned in protest prior to any of those performances. Really says something about the repulsive Trump, doesn’t it?
